Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Production & Customisation

Where are Allkits T-shirts, polo shirts and customised garments produced?

Allkits’ own-manufactured garments, including T-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, jackets and waterproof garments, are designed and produced at the company’s facility in Póvoa de Lanhoso, in the Braga district of Portugal. Allkits also supplies products from specialist brands, which can be customised according to each customer’s requirements.

What makes Allkits customised clothing different?

Garments developed from scratch allow customers to choose the model, colours, sizes, customisation options and additional details. Each project is created around the customer’s needs and design, with a made-to-measure approach.

Does Allkits create the design for customised T-shirts, polo shirts and clothing?

Yes. Allkits has a professional design team that can develop the product with you from the beginning, even when you do not already have a finished design. This service is free of charge and without obligation.

Can Allkits manufacture made-to-measure customised clothing for companies?

Yes. Allkits develops customised clothing from scratch, allowing models, colours, sizes, materials, labels and finishes to be adapted to the requirements of each company.

Does Allkits customise clothing for companies, clubs and associations?

Yes. Allkits develops customised clothing for companies, clubs, associations, schools, events and other organisations.

What customisation options are available for T-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies and uniforms?

For products manufactured by Allkits, customers can customise models, colours, applications, embroidery, prints, labels and technical details. The creative possibilities are highly flexible. For products supplied by specialist brands, the available options depend on the characteristics of each item and the original product itself cannot be structurally altered.

What is the difference between embroidery and printing on customised clothing?

Embroidery generally offers greater durability and a more premium finish. Printing can reproduce more detailed designs and is often better suited to T-shirts and lighter garments. The most suitable technique depends on the fabric, design and intended use.

How is the quality of customised clothing and products ensured?

For garments produced from scratch, in-house manufacturing allows strict control throughout every stage of production. For specialist-brand products, Allkits works with selected suppliers and checks each item before customisation and dispatch. The standard range focuses on higher-quality products; promotional-grade products are supplied only when specifically requested.

Are there setup, screen or film charges for garment customisation?

Technical costs associated with customisation, such as screens, films and file preparation, are included in the quotation. No additional undisclosed fee is charged. VAT is always shown separately.

Can I order different customised garment models in the same order?

Yes. Different models can be included in the same order, provided that all specifications are approved in advance.

How much does it cost to customise T-shirts or polo shirts?

The price depends on the quantity, garment model, fabric, number of colours, customisation technique and complexity of the design. Each project is quoted individually.

Does clothing manufactured from scratch cost more?

It may cost more depending on the product being compared. For similar garments, there is usually an increase of around 10% compared with standard catalogue products, reflecting the higher cost of manufacturing in Portugal or the European Union. However, some catalogue brands may be more expensive because of their quality, certification or technical features.

Is there a fixed additional charge for products made from scratch?

No. There is no fixed surcharge. The quotation is calculated case by case according to the model, textile complexity, customisation requirements and order quantity.

Products, Sizes & Samples

What types of customised clothing and professional workwear can I order?

You can order T-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, jackets and waterproof garments manufactured by Allkits, as well as professional workwear from specialist brands.

Do garment colours exactly match the images shown on the website?

Not always. Colours may vary depending on the monitor or screen being used. A physical sample can be requested to confirm the actual colour, subject to an additional cost.

Can there be colour differences between garments from the same batch?

Yes. A small variation may occur within the same batch, and the likelihood increases between separate batches. This risk is significantly reduced when all garments are manufactured from scratch in the same production batch using the same materials.

Where can I find the size charts for T-shirts, polo shirts and hoodies?

For products manufactured from scratch, the applicable size chart can be provided or linked on the relevant page. Specialist-brand products have their own size chart, which is supplied whenever requested. Due to the nature of textile manufacturing, measurements may vary by up to 3%.

How do I choose the correct size for customised clothing?

Allkits provides a fitting kit with sizes from XS to XXL against a €25 deposit. The deposit is refunded after the complete kit is returned in good condition. Allkits covers the original delivery cost, while the customer is responsible for the return shipping cost.

Can I request samples of T-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies or professional workwear?

Yes. Samples of different products can be requested. The applicable conditions, costs and return options are explained in advance. Customised samples or products manufactured specifically for the customer cannot be returned or exchanged.

What certifications are available for workwear products?

Within the Allkits Workwear range, the company supplies brands and products that comply with specific professional safety standards and certifications. The applicable certification depends on the individual item, and the product price is often directly related to the technical requirements involved.

How long does embroidery or printing last on customised clothing?

Durability depends on the fabric, the technique used and the type of garment. Embroidery is generally the most durable option and can often last for the full life cycle of the product.

T-Shirts & Polo Shirts

Can T-shirts and polo shirts be customised with embroidery or printing?

Yes. T-shirts and polo shirts can be customised with embroidery, printing or a combination of both. The Allkits team recommends the most suitable technique to achieve the best balance of durability, detail and finish.

Do T-shirts and polo shirts shrink after washing?

Garments manufactured by Allkits use stable materials and comply with textile fastness requirements. However, shrinkage of around 3% is considered normal. When choosing between two sizes, selecting the larger size is generally recommended.

Can polo shirt collars and buttons be customised?

Can I choose different types of zip?

Yes. Available options may include metal, nylon, concealed or reinforced zips. The best option depends on the garment style and intended use.

Can jackets include a thermal lining?

Yes. Some models can include a fleece lining for additional thermal comfort, making them suitable for cold environments or professional use. This type of lining is often used in Allkits’ own-manufactured waterproof jackets.

Can jackets be embroidered on the chest and back?

Yes. Jackets can be embroidered on the chest, sleeves and back, provided that the fabric and garment construction are suitable for the application.

Waterproof Garments

Allkits’ own-manufactured waterproof model is intended primarily as casual clothing and is not certified for professional protective use.
